South Dakota State Fair announces new contribution to Dakota Events Complex

The South Dakota State Fair has announced another donation to the new Dakota Events CompleX (or DEX).  Agtegra, headquartered in Aberdeen, has committed to donate to the DEX, which is a new, multipurpose livestock and equestrian complex under construction at the South Dakota State Fairgrounds in Huron.  

The DEX is replacing the State Fair’s Open Class Beef Complex, which was destroyed by fire in 2020.   It will provide exhibit space for more than 13-thousand 4-H and FFA students across the state and expand the event hosting capabilities of the fairgrounds. Throughout the year, the DEX will also serve as a major draw for livestock shows, 4-H competitions, FFA Conventions, and rodeos as well as concerts, thrill shows, and more from across the country.

The DEX is scheduled to be open for the 2023 South Dakota State Fair.
