A long-time City of Madison employee is retiring.  Electric Department Foreman Jerry Seitz is retiring from the city, effective April 3rd.  In an announcement from the City Utilities Department, it says that Seitz has been employed with the city of Madison for more than 24 years.  Utilities Services Coordinator Tess Nelson says that Seitz’s hard work, commitment, and dedication are “worthy of all of our admiration” and that filling his shoes will be “an almost impossible task” and he will be greatly missed.  Nelson says that a retirement celebration for Seitz will be held when it is safe to do so again after the COVID-19 pandemic.

Nelson also provided information regarding how city residents or contractors need to proceed with scheduling work, asking questions about projects, and any other needs or questions.  All scheduling, construction/project questions or any other needs should be directed to Tess Nelson at 256-7521, Option three or through any of her contact information listed below. She says that people should not contact any of the city’s lineman crew directly for any of these matters.
