The state Department of Health is reporting just more than 500 new positive COVID-19 cases Monday and no new virus-related deaths.  The state has a total of 16-thousand-814 active coronavirus cases, and 503 people are currently hospitalized.  

Lake County reports six additional positive COVID-19 cases Monday, and no more recovered cases.  This puts Lake County’s overall totals at 908 positive COVID-19 cases, 727 recovered cases and 12 deaths.  The number of active cases in Lake County is now at 169, and 35 residents have ever been hospitalized because of the virus.

Elsewhere in our area, the state Department of Health has updated Miner County to substantial community spread from moderate community spread.  Miner County currently has 36 active COVID-19 cases.  All other area counties continue to be listed as having substantial community spread.  McCook County currently has 113 active COVID-19 cases, Moody County has 100, and Kingsbury County has 82 active cases.  Brookings County reports 456 active COVID-19 cases at this time.
