Madison Fire Department responds to tree belt fire

The Madison Fire Department responded to a call of a fire in a tree belt on Wednesday evening.  Madison Fire Chief Randy Minnaert said that the call came in just after 6:30 Wednesday for a tree belt on fire south of Winfred at 23721 444th Avenue.   

Minnaert said that six trucks responded to the call, with firefighters on scene for almost two hours.  He said nothing else was damaged by the fire.
