Local VFW and American Legion Post members provide American flags to Madison Regional Health System

Two local organizations recently made donations to the Madison Regional Health System.  Members of the Ronald Westby VFW Post 2638 and American Legion McKibben-Mosher Post 25 made donations to Madison Regional Health to purchase three American flags to be flown outside the facility.

Madison Regional Health Director of Environmental Services and Plant Kenny Johnson said the gift from the organizations is significant because it enhances every patient and visitor’s experience at the hospital and clinic as they see the American flag flying at the entrance.

Johnson said that it’s important also for the health system to fly a flag that is in good condition.  He said the wind takes a toll on their flag and it has to be replaced three times each year.

The VFW and American Legion organizations each donated 250-dollars to Madison Regional Health System to cover the cost of flying the American flag this year.
