Lake County Commission Agenda & Election Results

Voters in Lake County reject a proposed 2-point 8 million dollar opt out on Tuesday. The opt out had been passed by the Lake County Commission, in an effort to prevent cuts to the county budget. 

1,483 no votes were cast, with 316 yes votes. 22 percent of eligible Lake County voters cast a ballot on Tuesday. 

The Lake County Commission will hold its next meeting this Thursday September 21st at 9:00 AM. Commissioners will canvass and make official the election results.

Other Items on the agenda for the meeting are the Adoption, Discussion and Action on any changes to the Provisional Budget. Nels Nelson, Highway Superintendent will also present a 5-Year Highway & Bridge Improvement Plan, and give a quote from Midwest Petroleum Equipment for raising the tank fill tubes on the fuel system.
