Energy official optimistic about natural gas situation this winter

Residents are being warned about expected price spikes and possible shortages of natural gas this winter.  Northwestern Energy’s Tom Glanzer says he is optimistic that prices and supply will settle down.

Glanzer says Northwestern has contracted for a good portion of its winter supply.

Glanzer says gas suppliers are still working through the Texas freeze up from February.

Some industry analysts expect natural gas prices to be forty to ninety percent higher than last winter.
