County Commission approves preliminary plat and plan for development near Brant Lake

Lake County Commissioners have approved a preliminary plat and development plan for the proposed development of land located near Brant Lake.  Commissioners approved the preliminary plat this week for the St. Clair Addition, which is proposed to be used for single family residential and other potential uses in the southeast area of Brant Lake.  Discussion on the development plan by county commissioners brought concerns from several nearby property owners, mainly regarding drainage, runoff, and increased traffic. Commissioners approved the preliminary plat because it meets county zoning regulations, but said that the issues and concerns will need to be addressed before a final plat is approved in the future.
