City to advertise for bids for Recycling Center operational services; announce board vacancies

The City of Madison will be advertising for bids for operational services at the city’s Recycling Center.  During Monday’s city commission meeting, City Administrator Jameson Berreth told commissioners that the two year contract for the services ends in January of 2023.  He said that Valiant Living currently has the contract for the service at the Recycling Center.

Also during Monday’s meeting, Mayor Roy Lindsay announced a couple of vacancies on two city boards.  Lindsay said that there is a vacancy on the Library Board, with the term ending in April of 2023.  There are also two openings on the city’s Planning Commission, with terms ending in December of 2026 and April of 2027.  Lindsay said anyone interested in serving on either of these boards should fill out an application and contact City Administrator Jameson Berreth.
