The Madison Central School District reported six new positive COVID-19 cases in students or staff members at Madison Elementary and Middle Schools, with no close contacts in the school identified.  The district’s three school buildings remain at a Level Two status, with face coverings required.  The number of active cases in each of the buildings must be at one-percent or less of the student population in order for the building to return to the district’s Level One status again.  As of Tuesday, Madison Elementary School had nine active cases, the Middle School had six, and the High School had five active COVID-19 cases.  In order to return to Level One, the Elementary School needs to have five or less active COVID-19 cases, the Middle School – three or less, and the High School needs to have four or less active cases.

Families of students within the Madison Central School District can get a free at-home test kit by contacting their child’s school.
