Commit To Get Fit 2021

The Madison Community Center is partnering with Strive 605 for our KJAM Weight Loss Challenge this year! Their goal is not only to help you lose weight but to motivate and provide you with the tools to create a whole new healthy lifestyle for you and possibly those around you! They know that creating and maintaining a healthy lifestyle does not start and stop at the gym, and that is why this year they have decided to partner with Strive 605 to help you with nutrition along with personal fitness. 

  • Start – Monday, January 4th
    • First weigh-in 
    • Weigh-ins accepted any time after January 4th
  • Ends – Friday, February 26th
    • Weigh-ins accepted any time on or before the 26th
  • Weekly Weigh-ins
    • Due by every Sunday pm before closing time
    • Weekly weigh-ins get your name in a drawing for a $250 Sunshine Gift Card
      • Winner will be announced once the Challenge is Complete
      • Weigh-in each week to increase your chances at winning the gift card
  • Weekly Challenges
    • Each week participants will have a new weekly challenge to complete
    • Once complete participants will be able to put their name in a drawing 
      • Winners will be drawn each week
      • Winners will be drawn every Monday morning to announce a winner of the prior weekly challenges 
      • Weekly challenges start new each week on Mondays
      • Week 1 Challenge – run/walk 1 mile – 5 days out of the 7
      • Week 2 Challenge – bike 15 minutes a day – 5 days out of the 7
      • Week 3 Challenge – 10 minutes on your choice of the either the row/stairmaster/skierg machines – 5 days out of the 7
      • Week 4 Challenge – 10 burpees, 25 squats, 10 pushups, and 20 sit ups (repeat 2x) – 5 days out of the 7
      • Week 5 Challenge – run/walk 2 miles – 5 days out of the 7
      • Week 6 Challenge – bike 30 minutes a day – 5 days out of the 7
      • Week 7 Challenge – 20 minutes of your choice of either the row/stairmaster/skierg machines – 5 days out of the 7
      • Week 8 Challenge – 15 burpees, 50 squats, 15 pushups, and 40 sit ups (repeat 3x) – 5 days out of the 7
  • Nutrition Night
    • Every Monday night at 5:30pm throughout the challenge
    • Located at Strive 605
    • Free Body Scan
    • Hour long Q&A
    • Includes guest speakers
    • Speakers will talk about a variety of topics including but not limited to healthy recipes, smart snacks, serving sizes, and meal prep
    • Participants who attend will get their name in a weekly drawing for prizes at Strive 605
