Merle Peterson - Amazing Madison

Merle Peterson, 81, of Madison, SD passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2024 at Madison Regional Health System. Per Merle’s request, no services will be held at this time. Private family burial will take place at Salem Lutheran Cemetery at Center, Salem, SD.

Merle is survived by: his wife, Gloria (Lingle) Peterson of Madison; son, Dan (Trina) Peterson and their children Dylan and Austin of California; brother, Richard Peterson of Hawaii; brother-in-law, Joe Minneart and sisters- and brothers-in-law, Joanne (Dale) Melius, Nyla (Mike) Nangle and Michael Dirks. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Naomi (Gustafson) Peterson, his son, Doug Peterson, and two sisters, Betty Mae VanRosendale and Judy Minneart.
