Sunday Cornbelt Results

The Dell Rapids Mudcats picked up their first Cornbelt victory of the summer on Sunday night, defeating the Gamecocks of Hartford/Humboldt 17-2 in five innings. Dell Rapids had scored just three runs in the first two league games of the summer, but jumped out early and got production up and down the lineup in their home win. The Gamecocks were highlighted by a moonshot home run from Joe Hanisch in the loss.

Elsewhere in the league from Sunday night, Lennox remained undefeated, beating Madison 13-3 behind Kramer Sneed on the mound and Chris Kropuenske going 3/3 with a home run. The Broncos fell to 2-1 in Cornbelt play. Canova defeated Hartford/Humboldt Wood Ducks 11-1 in seven innings, as the Gang improved to 5-1 overall on the season and 2-1 in league action.

Despite being down 5-0 after one inning of play, Dell Rapids PBR rallied for a 9-6 win at Flandreau and rounding out Cornbelt games from Sunday, Colman was an 8-4 winner at home versus Salem.
