SDSU Plans For Renovation of Frost Arena

Plans are in the works for a major renovation of Frost Arena on the SDSU campus, and it’s getting a new name in the process. University President Barry Dunn announced Monday that First Bank and Trust is giving $20 million dollars toward the project and will take the naming rights of the arena. The stadium is set to be called First Bank and Trust Arena. Athletic Director Justin Sell says the project will include an interactive space that will highlight the history of SDSU athletics, in addition to being the new home of the Jackrabbit Sports Hall of Fame. The cost of the project is at an estimated $50 million dollars.  The project is pending approval of the South Dakota Board of Regents.
