PBR walks-off Canova in the 10th

Matt Gillogly drove in two runs in the bottom of the 10th inning as Dell Rapids PBR walked-off against the Canova Gang on Thursday night by the final of 8-7. Gillogly’s hit came after Canova took a 1 run lead in the top of the 10th. 

Canova opened the scoring in the 1st with a Garrett Gassman RBI groundout. They added to the lead in the 3rd with a Riley Genzlinger single and a two-run double from Justin Miller. 

PBR tied the game in the bottom of the 3rd, scoring on an error and RBI’s from Drew Sweeter and Zach Puetz. 

Justin Miller drove in two more runs for Canova in the 5th, but PBR would tie the game again and force extra innings. 

Riley Hoffman earned the win for Dell Rapids, after pitching all ten innings. He allowed 6 runs on 11 hits, and struck out 6. 

Canova fell to 5-3, while PBR is now 3-4. 


The Humboldt-Hartford Gamecocks held Salem to just one run, in an 8-1 win over the Cubs. Cam Quigley had 3 hits and scored twice for Humboldt-Hartford. Joe Hanisch had 3 hits and 3 RBI. Nate Masloski picked up the win, allowing just 1 run over his 5 innings of work. 

The Gamecocks are now 6-3, and the Cubs fall to 3-4. 


The Colman A’s held the Humboldt-Hartford Wood Ducks to just 4 hits, in an 11-1 win in 8 innings.
