Ortman named NSAA Offensive player of the week

The North Star Athletic Association voted Dakota State senior running back Tyce Ortman as the Conference Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Ortman rushed 15 times for 89 yards with three touchdowns in the Trojans 34-3 home rout over rival Dakota Wesleyan.
Ortman also excelled in punting where he registered five punts for 200 yards total, averaging 40.0 yards per punt. All five of his punts all landed on DWU’s inside 20-yard line.
Dakota State takes on NCAA Division III Nebraska Wesleyan in a non-conference game on Saturday evening. Kick-off is set for 7 p.m. at Abel Stadium in Lincoln, Nebraska. You can listen to that game on Jammin’ Country 103.1, with the Edwards Jones Pregame show starting at 6:30pm this Saturday.
