Oftedal takes 3rd as MHS Boys Golf opens season at Sioux Valley

The Madison boys golf team got their season started Monday, finishing 5th at the Sioux Valley Invite. The Bulldogs had a team score of 345, finishing behind Milbank, Groton, Aberdeen Roncalli, and 1st place Sioux Valley. 

Braylon Oftedal finished in 3rd place individually with a 2 over par round of 74. Casyn Crabtree also medaled for Madison, placing 14th with a round of 83. Gavin Schneider finished 27th with a 93 and Cannon Hunsley 31st with a 95. 

Sioux Valley’s Tate Steffensen finished in 1st place, firing a 2 under par round of 70. 

Madison will host the Bulldog Invite this Thursday at Madison Country Club.
