There was some movement in the polls after the first week of high school football in South Dakota. In Class 9B, Canistota dropped from 2nd to 5th, after their season opening loss to Viborg-Hurley. The Panthers of Viborg-Hurley moved into the #5 spot in the 9AA poll after that win. 

In 9A things were mostly unchanged, with Howard still getting 13 of the 14 first place votes. Wall remind at #2 in 9A. 

The top four teams in 11B remained the same this week, with Winner holding down the top spot followed by Elk Point-Jefferson, Sioux Valley and Woonsocket/Wessington Springs/Sanborn Central. Wagner moved into the rankings this week at #5. 

All Classes of South Dakota football will play this week. In 11A, #1 Canton will take on Rapid City Christian. Dell Rapids, who is tied for 2nd in the poll with Sioux Falls Christian, will host Dakota Valley. The Chargers will host #4 West Central. 

The Madison Bulldogs will open their season Friday, hosting Belle Fourche. That game will start at 6pm Central Time.
