Mudcats, Cardinals, and Canova all winners on Thursday night

Dallas Schneiderman threw a 5-hit shutout, and the Flandreau Cardinals topped the Madison Broncos 3-0 on Thursday night at Flynn Field. Schneiderman struck out 11 Broncos over nine innings, and allowed just 7 total baserunners. Keith Cuttler had 2 hits and an RBI to lead the Flandreau hitters. Logan Albee, Aspen Dahl, and Peyton Wolf combined to strike out 10 Cardinal batters in the loss.Â
The Canova Gang put up runs early and often in a 14-5 win over the Humboldt-Hartford Gamecocks on Thursday night. The Gang put up at least one run in seven of the nine innings., including 3 runs in the 1st and 2nd innings to take the early lead. Justin and Jared Miller each had 3 hits. Justin Miller scored 4 runs, while Jared Miller had 5 RBI. Kendall Gassman added 4 hits, and struck out 10 batters over 8 innings on the mound. Oscar Provacek had 3 hits and 2 RBI for the Gamecocks.Â
The Dell Rapids Mudcats needed just 7 innings to defeat the Salem Cubs 11-0. Ty Hoglund and Landon Reusink each had 3 hits, 2 runs and 3 RBI for the Mudcats. Three Dell Rapids pitchers combined to strike out 11 Salem hitters. Tyler Earls and Brian Duxbury each had 2 hits in the loss for the Cubs.Â
Also in the Cornbelt, the Lennox Alpacas built up a 6 run lead, then held on for a 7-6 win over Dell Rapids PBR.
