Minnesota Vikings Throwing Hat In The Ring To Host Draft/Super Bowl

The Minnesota Vikings are hoping to host the NFL Draft in the near future. This year’s draft was planned to be held in Las Vegas but given the current situation, it was held virtually. Next year’s draft is already planned for Cleveland, Las Vegas was awarded the 2022 draft and Kansas City will host in 2023. Teams, including Green Bay, that had been vying for 2022 now will focus on 2024, which could affect when the Vikings might get a draft for the first time.

Last August, the Vikings sent an interest letter to the NFL to hold the draft in the Twin Cities in 2024, 2025 or 2026. The Vikings also expressed interest in hosting the Super Bowl at U.S. Bank Stadium in February of 2028, 2029 or 2030.

The dates for next year’s draft in Cleveland were announced Tuesday. It will be held April 29th to May 1st, one week later than in 2020.
