Madison Legion and White 14U both picked up wins on Wednesday

Lucas Mork and Thomas Mechels each had 2 hits, and the Madison Legion Post 25 baseball team beat Harrisburg 8-3 on Wednesday. Mork and Jordan Pederson each drove in 2 runs for Madison, as Post 25 jumped out to a 6-0 lead through 4 innings. Mechels and Jovi Wolf each scored 2 runs for Madison. Wolf also picked up the win, after allowing just 2 hits over five innings. He did walk 5 and was tagged for 3 runs while striking out 7. 

Post 25 is now 9-4 on the season. Madison will host Elk-Point-Jefferson in a doubleheader this Saturday. 

Madison White 14U team scored 6 unanswered runs in an 8-6 comeback win over Dell Rapids Red on Wednesday. Payton Wold drove in the go-ahead runs in the 6th. He finished with 2 runs and 2 RBI. Oakley Mees also drove in 2, and Blake Oines scored twice in the win as well. Landen McManus earned the win. Pitching in relief, McManus went 4 innings and allowed just one hit while striking out 4 Dell Rapids batters. Madison White finished the regular season at 8-10. The Region tournament for Madison begins on Monday.
