Madison Golf Captures Region

The Madison Boys Golf team took home the Team Region 1 title on Monday in Volga. The team score was 348, three shots better than Sioux Valley and 15 better than third place Sisseton. Individually, Blake Neilson of Sisseton carded an 82, Madison’s Braden Eimers was runner up with an 84. Other Madison finishers included: Keaton Nighbert tied for 3rd, Blake Whitethorn tied for 10th, Ty Jorgenson tied for 13th and Dylan DeJong placed 17th.

All five Madison golfers advanced to the State A Golf Tournament being held next Monday and Tuesday the 7th and 8th at The Bluffs Golf Course in Vermillion.
