Keaton Nighbert led a Day Two charge from the Madison Boys Golf Team yesterday at the Bluffs Golf Course in Vermillion. Nighbert shot back-to-back rounds of 81, to finish with runner up honors and Madison placed third as a team. The Bulldogs had a huge improvement from Day One and fired a team low plus 51 yesterday.

Maidson’s Braden Eimers recovered from an opening day round of 91 by shooting 79 on Tuesday,  tied for the best score of the day. Eimers charge put him in the Top 25, in 15th place. Blake Whitethorn and Dylan DeJong both improved their scores in the second round, finishing in 46th, and 48th place. Ty Jorgenson improved his day two score by 16 strokes, and finished tied for 51st.

Sioux Falls Christian took the team title with a score of +103. Tea Area came in 2nd at +116, nine strokes better than Madison. Lance Christensen of Little Wound was the medalist finishing with a two day total of 157, 5 shots ahead of Nighbert.
