Madison 14U baseball teams split games on Monday

Madison Black 14U baseball scored 4 runs in the sixth inning, to help them defeat Dell Rapids 6-0 on Monday night. Colton Davis and Braylon Oftedal each drove in a pair of runs in the sixth for Madison. Boyd Pooler and Levi Nelson each and an RBI as well. Henry Veenhof earned the win for Madison, allowing just one hit and striking out six over seven shutout innings.Â
The Madison White 14U team put up 11 runs on Monday, but couldn’t slow down the Wagner bats, in a 21-11 loss.Â
Wagner jumped out to a 4 run lead in the first inning, only to see Madison White respond with 4 runs in the second. Wagner then scored 3 in the bottom of the second, but Madison matched them with 3 runs in the 3rd. Finally, Wagner took the lead for good with 7 runs in the bottom of the third.Â
Luke Johnson led the Madison offense with 2 hits, 2 runs, and 3 RBI. Brody Nielsen had a pair of hits and an RBI for Madison as well. Weston Bierma and Avery Bear each had 4 hits to lead Wagner.
