Lady Bulldogs Fall Flat on the Road; Lose to Tea Area 69-18

The Madison Lady Bulldogs fall on the road in a blowout loss to the Tea Area Lady Titans, 69-18.

What could be chalked up as their worst loss of the season is one game this team wants to put in the rearview mirror. Domination from Tea Area from start to finish. The Lady Titans began the game holding the Lady Bulldogs scoreless in the opening quarter of play. Including a 36-0 start to the game and led 34-0 after one quarter.

Though the Lady Titans are a very well oiled machine, the Lady Bulldogs mostly beat themselves in this game. Recording a high number of turnovers early and lack of rebounding. Credit to Tea Area though for applying the pressure early and running away with the game as a result with that fast start.

Three Lady Titans scored in double figures. Led by Katie Vasecka with 18 points, followed by Mara Grant with 16 and Ellie Clayberg added 15.

Madison had no player see double figures in the game. Two players led the team with five points. Those being Karley Lurz and Cambree Hunsley, with all of Hunley’s points coming in the fourth quarter.

Next Game

The Lady Bulldogs return to action again on Jan. 30 in the Madison High School Gym when they take on Deubrook Area.
