JD Prorok Luke Koepsell named to All-State Baseball Team
The South Dakota High School Baseball Association named their Class B All-State and All-Region teams on Tuesday.
For the Madison/Chester Bulldogs, JD Prorok was named First Team All-State. Prorok is 4-0 this season, with 67 strikeouts in just 28 and two-thirds innings pitched. Those 67 strikeouts were more than any other Class B pitcher. Prorok, Braxton Bjorklund, Eli Barger, Jordan Pedersen, Thomas Mechels and Quincy Kurtz were named to the All-Region 2 team.
Howard’s Luke Koepsell is also First Team All-State. Koepsell had a .480 batting average this season, while also going 3-1 with a .73 ERA as a pitcher.
For Dell Rapids, Jack Henry, Mason Stubbe, and Tad Tjaden made the All-State First Team.
Brennan Bickett and Caden Hojer from ORR/Arlington were also named to the All-Region Team. As were Jackson Remmers, Karsyn Feldhaus, Kolt Koepsell, Luke Koepsell, and Nolan Mentele from Howard.
The Class B State Baseball Tournament begins this Friday in Sioux Falls.
