Late inning fireworks led to Humboldt/Hartford defeating Colton in Legion ball on Thursday night. Humboldt held a modest 4-2 advantage heading into the eighth inning, where they scored four runs. Colton answered with five of their own in the home half of the inning. Humboldt/Hartford answered with eight more runs in the ninth to pick up the 16-7 win. Landry Knight had another big game for H/H, collecting four hits and driving in four, he also picked up the win on the mound. Ryan Healy went three for five and scored four runs while driving in two. Colton was led by Mason Mathieu, who had two RBIs.
Humboldt/Hartford will be back in action on Monday, July 13th and Colton next Monday at Salem.
