Five Tigers named to Class 9A All-State

The Class 9A State Champion Howard Tigers had five players named to the All-State team. 

Leading the way for the Tigers was Luke Koepsell, who was also named the 9A All-American. The Howard senior had 62 tackles and 5 sacks for the Tigers, while also catching 22 passes and 7 touchdowns. He finished his high school career with 23 total TD’s. 

Tate Miller ran for over 1,000 yards with 18 touchdowns. He did it all on just 94 carries, averaging over 11 yards per run. 

Helping clear the way for Miller was lineman Calvin Halverson. The two year starter was the anchor of an offense that put up over 4,300 yards and 68 touchdowns.

On defense for Howard, linebacker Weston Remmers and DB Carson Hinker were named All-State. Remmers had 47 tackles, 2 sacks and an interception this season.
