Elk Point – Jefferson Defeats Parker for Class B State Legion Championship

Elk Point-Jefferson defeated Parkston 5-2 on Tuesday, to win the Class B State Legion Championship. Parkseton got on the board in the 2nd when an error scored a run. But EPJ made it 3-1 in the bottom of the 3rd, after Ty Trometer singled to score a run and Keaton Gale doubled in two. 

Brody VanRoekel earned the win for EPJ. The starter gave up four hits and two runs over 7 innings, while striking out three. Luke Bormann took the loss for Parkston. The righty went five innings, allowing five runs on three hits, and six strikeouts. Gale, Troemeter, Ehan Bovill and Jace Shatswell each had RBI hits for EPJ.
