DSU Women’s basketball team dropped a spirited game last night at the DSU Fieldhouse to Briar Cliff University 85 to 73. It was a two point advantage at the break for the Chargers and then they grabbed the game in the third outscoring the Trojans 23-16 on the way to victory. The Trojans were led by Jessi Giles who had 18 in the game, but once again the turnover battle left much to be desired. Now at 0-2 DSU Womens Basketball will be back in action Saturday at the Pentagon Classic vs Dakota Wesleyan.

Giles was named the Player-Of-The-Week in the NSAA pouring in a game-high 25 points on her 9-of-15 field goal shooting performance versus Jamestown University. She also pulled down five rebounds and stole the ball once in the loss to Jamestown
