DSU Volleyball just out of the Top 25 in first National Coaches Poll of the year

Dakota State received votes, but sits outside the Top 25, in the first NAIA Women’s Volleyball Coaches’ Poll of the season. The Trojans are one of four North Star Athletic Association schools to receive votes in the national poll. Jamestown came in at No. 9, Bellevue at No. 14, and Valley City State at No. 22. Indiana Wesleyan, the defending national champions, enters the 2024 season at No. 1.

Dakota State is trying to make it back to the National Tournament in the tough NSAA Conference. According to fifth year senior Madalyn Groft, making the tournament, and other team goals, have been clearly laid out.

DSU opens their season with a pair of matches Friday, in the Vipers Sports Academy Classic in Ft. Lauderdale Florida.  The Trojans will take on Campbellsville University out of Kentucky, and No. 19 ranked St. Thomas of Florida.
