DSU Volleyball heading to Florida to open 2024 season

Dakota State was picked to finish 4th out of 6 teams in the North Star Athletic Association Women’s Volleyball Coaches’ Preseason Poll. The Trojans tallied 16 points to finish behind Valley City, Bellview, and Jamestown.

Dakota State, under the guidance of 16th year head coach Amy Veenhof, finished their 2023 season with an overall record of 16-15.  It was the fifth winning season in the last six seasons.

Coach Veenhof says, in a very competitive conference, her team’s goals are set high.

The Trojans make their 2024 season debut Friday and Saturday at the Keiser Viper Sports Academy Classic in Ft. Lauderdale Florida. DSU will play two games Friday and Saturday.

The Trojans begin their NSAA women’s volleyball conference season on Sept. 20 as they visit their traveling partner Bellevue.

All North Star members play 10 conference matches. This will be the final year of the North Star conference.
