DSU Softball and Baseball teams on the road this weekend

Fresh off a double-header sweep of Briar Cliff earlier this week, the Dakota State University softball team will be back in action today and tomorrow, taking on Viterbo in La Crosse Wisconsin. The Trojans are 13-16 overall this season, and 8-4 in conference play.

The 8-4 start is the best 12 game start for DSU softball since joining the North Star Athletic Association back in 2013-14. Viterbo has yet to win a game in the NSAA this season, and lost 3 of 4 games to DSU last season.

After the four game series in Wisconsin today and Saturday, the Trojans continue a busy week on Monday with a non-conference doubleheader with Morningside.  That doubleheader was originally scheduled to be played in Madison, but has been relocated to Sioux City, Iowa, due to better weather forecast.

Meanwhile, Dakota State University baseball was scheduled to play at Flynn Field Today and Saturday.  But, due to unfavorable weather conditions, the NSAA four-game series with Dickenson will be moved to Winner, S.D.

However, even that is in jeopardy due to road conditions in North Dakota. I-94 is still closed from Jamestown, N.D. to the Montana border.  The two teams are hoping to play on Saturday, but that has not been finalized depending on how the road conditions are
