Dakota State Senior Josie Wolf collected her third North Star Athletic Association Women’s Outdoor Track Athlete-of-the-Week honor this season. It was her second straight week that she had received the honor.

Wolf produced three ‘Top 10’ times in three different events during the South Dakota Challenge in Vermillion last week.  She clocked a time of 12.34 seconds in the 100-meter dash, which is the eighth fastest time in school history.

Wolf added a time of 25.64 seconds in the 200-meter dash, the fifth fastest time in Dakota State’s school history.  And she also anchored the 4 x 400-meter relay team that recorded the ninth fastest time in school history with a time of 4 minutes, 6.40 seconds.  The members of the relay team also included Shaylee DeBeer, Jennifer Giles, and Jessi Giles.

Wolf is currently ranked second in the conference in the 100-meter dash, third in the 200-meters, first in the 400-meter dash, and first in the 4 x 400-meter relay for the Trojans.

The NSAA also selected DSU junior Treshawn Roberts as its Men’s Outdoor Field Athlete-of-the-Week. He won the Conference Men’s Multi-Events Championships last weekend in Aberdeen, and the overall decathlon.

Roberts accumulated 5,854 points in the decathlon event for the Trojans, which is the third most points scored in school history.  His decathlon total point is also the NAIA ‘B’ Provisional standard qualifying mark for the NAIA national meet

Dakota State is scheduled to compete in two different meets this week.  Wolf and Roberts will be two of the 18 DSU athletes to compete in the 112th annual Drake Relays at Bulldog Stadium in Des Moines, Iowa on Friday and Saturday.

The Trojans also are set to compete in the Mount Marty Open on Saturday in Yankton.
