Dell Rapids Mudcats Take Home 2021 South Dakota Amateur Baseball Class B Championship

The Dell Rapids Mudcats are the 2021 South Dakota Amateur Baseball Champions for Class B after beating the Flandreau Cardinals 16-1 in six innings. Chad Hunt delivered the championship-clinching hit to left field, scoring Jimmy Bauer. Dell Rapids had two home runs in the game: a grand slam from Dalton Lehnen in the fourth and the three-run homer from Mark Abrahamson in the fifth. 

Lehnen and pitcher Kris Regas earned co-MVPs of the tournament. Either Regas or Lehnen started in each game in the tournament. They combined for five starts, five wins, only five earned runs, and 51 strikeouts. Drew DeMers was the batting champion, hitting .643.

Bret Severtson hit a home run for the lone run for Flandreau.
