Cornbelt Baseball Weekend Round-Up

The Hartford-Humboldt Gamecocks dropped a tight contest to the Horned Frogs of Corsica-Stickney on Friday night, 6-5. It drops their record to 0-3 on the season and will be back in action with non-league play Wednesday at home versus Aurora. 

Meanwhile, the Wood Ducks of H-H dropped their first two games of the season. Friday night a 6-4 loss to the Renner Monarchs and then dropping a game at home Sunday versus Larchwood. Leading 3-1 in the 8th inning, the Wood Ducks gave up a run in the frame and then six more in the ninth inning, to fall 8-3. H-H Wood Ducks back in action this Friday versus the Renner-35 team. 

Dell Rapids PBR hosted the Sioux Falls Squirrels in a scrimmage last night, getting geared up for the season. PBR came away with a 3-1 victory.
