Quarterfinal action in Class 9B saw Colman-Egan handle Irene-Wakonda in Colman via a 52-0 score. In KJAM’s Game-Of-The-Week, the Hawks cruised to a victory in a game that was called at halftime.

Colman-Egan could do no wrong, turning the Eagles over six times (4 interceptions, fumble recovered and downs) while using a balanced rushing attack. Nate Tolley rushed for two, Eli Bowen rushed for two, Ryker Hawkins rushed for one and Chase Hemmer rushed for a touchdown for the Hawks.

It was the eighth shutout of the season for Colman-Egan, as they have only played 25 quarters in 10 games so far. The Hawks will now host semifinal action next Friday night, taking on Wolsey-Wessington, who defeated Scotland 50-0.

In other 9B action, Herreid/Selby Area defeated Dell Rapids St. Mary 48-38 and Harding County was a 38-26 winner over Kadoka Area.
