Chester Coaches Adam Anderson and Laura Biagi Win Coach of the Year Awards

Two Chester Area coaches have been named “Coach of the Year” in their respective sports, by the South Dakota High School Coaches Association. The list of the annual spring award winners was released this weekend. 

Adam Anderson was named as South Dakota’s Girls Golf Coach of the year. The Chester Area girls repeated as Class B State Golf Champion in June. The Flyer girls beat Miller by 13 strokes, and three Chester Area golfers placed in the top 15.

Also for the Flyers, Laura Biagi was named the Softball Coach of the Year. Biagi led Chester to a 20-1 record, and the Class B State Championship. 

Anderson and Biagi will be recognized at the annual awards banquet, which will be held on Sunday, July 14, 2024, at 1:00 PM CDT at the Mitchell Highland Conference Center.
