The Colman-Egan Girls and Chester Area Boys cruised to victory Wednesday, at the Region 4B Track & Field Meet in Chester. Jovi Wolf led the Fliers with wins in the 100, 200, and 400 meter races. He was also part of the winning 400 meter relay with Ryan Benson, Stratton Eppard, Alex VanEgdom.
Brayden Schut of Chester Area won the 800 meter run. Benson and Zachery Moyer finished 1st and 2nd in the 110 and 300 hurdles. Chester boys also won the 800, 1600, and 3200 meter relays. Ryan Benson and Wyatt Hanson took 1st and 2nd in the Long Jump, and Owen Mersch won the Triple Jump.
Caden Schroder of Howard took 2nd in the 1600 meter run and 1st in the 3200. Jace Sifore finished in the 3rd place in the shot put for the Tigers. Kaden Hofer was 3rd in the Long Jump.
Issac Trygstad of Oldham-Ramona/Rutland took 2nd in the 400 for the Raiders. Wyatt Bickett and Will Matson were 3rd and 4th in the 200. Matson also added a 2nd place finish in the High Jump.
On the girls side, Daniela Lee led the Colman-Egan Hawks with 1st place finishes in the 100 and 200. Reece Luze took 1st in the 400 for the Hawks. McKenzie Hemmer added a 1st place finish in the 100 meter hurdles, while also winning the Long Jump and Triple Jump. The Colman-Egan girls also took 1st place in four different relays.
Emery Larson of Chester Area took 1st in the 800, and her teammate Emmerson Eppard won the 1600. Jacy Wolf added a 1st place finish in the 300 meter hurdles. Lexis Siemonsma won the Shot Put and was 2nd in the Discus.
The State Track and Field Meet will be held May 26th-28th at Howard Wood Field in Sioux Falls.
