Bulldog Tennis defeats SF Washington 6-3

Madison girls tennis swept their doubles matches on Tuesday, and picked up a 6-3 win on the road against Sioux Falls Washington. 

In Flight 1 doubles Delilah Maxwell and Sienna Maxwell battled back for a tiebreaking win. The Maxwell’s lost the first set 5-7, and won the second set 7-5. They then pulled off an 11-9 win in a tiebreaker to take the match. 

In 2nd Flight doubles, the Madison team of Paula Sineriz Santalucia and Miranda Gonyo cruised to victory 6-3 and 6-2. In Flight 3, Savannah Snow and Audrey Allen lost the opening set in a tiebreaker to fall 7-6. The pair then rallied for a 6-4 win in the 2nd set, and won the match tiebreaker 10-7. 

In singles, Santalucia, Gonyo, and Allen each picked up 2-0 wins for the Bulldogs. 

The wins Tuesday came after Madison split a pair of duals over the weekend, losing to St. Thomas More 9-0, and defeating Spearfish 8-1. Madison tennis will host Huron this Thursday.
