Bulldog Cross Country places 2nd in Garretson

Beresford edged out the Madison Bulldog boys for first place at the Jesse James Cross Country Invite in Garretson on Tuesday. The Watchdogs finished with a team score of 34, with Madison in 2nd place with a score of 46. 

Dylan Gerdes of Madison took 1st place individually, with a time of 17:29, which was 21 seconds better than Hunter Penn of Beresford. Also for Madison, Daniel Aldridge finished 12th, Nathan Haselton 21st, and Kia Thomson 24th. 

In the girls race the Bulldogs finished 5th as a team, with Arlington taking 1st and Dells St. Mary’s 2nd. 

Lou Schladweiler led the Bulldog girls with an 18th place finish. Samantha Troxell was 26th and Emmy Havlik 31st. 

The Madison Cross Country teams will travel to Milbank on Saturday.
