Bulldog Baseball falls to Sioux Falls Jefferson

The Madison Bulldogs just couldn’t quiet the bats of Sioux Falls Jefferson on Monday. Jefferson scored in all but one inning, on their way to a 16-4 win over the Bulldogs.

Jefferson opened the scoring with a pair of runs in the 1st and 2nd innings, then four more in the 4th. Madison put together nine hits, but struggled to bring those runners home. Aspen Dahl, Hayden Kane, and Jared Kennington all had multi hit games for the Bulldogs. Dahl scored twice and drove in a run. Payton Wolf had an RBI and a stolen base. Mickale Dohrer took the loss, giving up nine runs on ten hits, and striking out two.

Madison is now 8-4 this season, and ranked 4th in the latest Class B Midco Sports Power Rankings. The Bulldogs will travel to Elkton on Thursday, then take on Rapid City Stevens and Huron this Sunday.
