Area Cross Country Results

A host of area teams, including Madison, competed yesterday at the Sioux Valley Cross Country Invite. McKayla Heesh of Garretson placed first on the girls side, helping her team to a first place finish. Flandreau placed fourth, West Central sixth, Madison seventh and Arlington ninth. Ellie Keller placed 12th to pace the Bulldogs.

On the boys side, Rhett McMasters of Lake Preston took home top honors with Flandreau capturing the team title. Madison was fourth, Sioux Valley fifth and West Central ninth. Isaiah Klockman led MHS with an 18th place finish. 

Dell Rapids St. Mary hosted their inaugural cross country invite on Monday with a few area teams participating. St. Mary captured the team title on the boys side, securing six of the top seven spots, with Deubrook finishing second and Chester third. Jacob Vogel of St. Mary took home first place

On the girls side, Deubrook took the team title with Colman-Egan placing second and Howard third. Ellie Olsen of Deubrook was the top placer for the girls.
