Salem’s Pulse advances in US Olympic Trials

Salem native Jacy Pulse has advanced to the semifinals of the Women’s 400 meter hurdles at the US Olympic Trials. Pulse had the 21st best time overall in the 5 Heats, clocking in at 56.99 seconds. 

The top 5 in each heat, and the next 2 fastest times advance to the 3 semi’s. The top 2 in each semi, and the next fastest 3, then advance to the finals. The semifinals will be held Saturday at 7:40pm. The finals are scheduled for Sunday night at 7:30.Pulse was the 2019 South Dakota Class A Track MVP, and a 14-time state medalist for McCook Central-Montrose. That was without having a senior season, after it was canceled in 2020 due to Covid-19. She was an All-American runner for the University of South Dakota.
