Thursday’s Cornbelt Baseball Scores

An eight run 3rd inning powered the Flandreau Cardinals to a 12-3 win over the Salem Cubs last night, in the Cornbelt “Game of the Week” on Jammin Country.
Five players had a multi-hit game for the Cardinals, including Keith Cutler and Sam Eng who each drove in a pair of runs. Dallas Schneiderman threw six innings for Flandreau to pick up the win, allowing 4 runs and striking out 6.
Cole Cheeseman had 3 hits for the cubs. Steve Melbrech and Tyler Earls each had 2 RBI in the loss.
The Humboldt-Hartford Gamecocks racked up 11 runs on 9 hits Thursday, in an 11-1 win over the Madison Broncos. Ryan Healy, and Jonah Rechtenbaugh each hit homeruns for the Gamecocks, who also took advantage of 12 Madison walks. Humboldt-Harford starter Seth Christensen gave up just 2 hits and struck out 11 batters in his 7 innings of work.
The Canova Gang jumped out to an early lead on their way to a 9-3 win over the Lennox Only One Alpacas. Jason Miller broke the game open with a three run double in the 2nd inning. Kendall Gassman and Jared Miller each had a homerun run for Canova in the win.
The Dell Rapids Mudcats continued to overpower their opponents, in a 16-1 win over the Humboldt-Hartford Wood Ducks. Mark Abrahamson, Dalton Lehnen, Ty Hoglund, and Kole Zimmerman all homered for Dell Rapids.
