16 Trojans named All-Conference; Sinsabaugh voted Assistant Coach of the Year

The 2024 North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) Football All-Conference teams were announced Monday by the conference office.  The All-Conference teams and postseason awards were voted on by the league coaches.

Will Madler of Dickinson State was voted as the Offense Most Valuable Player, as well as the league’s Player-of-the-Year.  His teammate Jayden Heartwell was named the conference’s Defensive Most Valuable Player.  Pete Stanton was selected as the NSAA Football Coach-of-the-Year.  Anvil Sinsabaugh of Dakota State (S.D.) was voted as the NSAA Football Assistant Coach-of-the-Year.

Dakota State had 16 players named to the All-Conference Team. Running Back Tyce Ortman, offense lineman Tyler Kjetlan, defensive lineman Caleb Dwyer, linebacker Taron Serr, and defensive back Deveon Moses were all named 1st team all-conference. 

Lineman Uziel Ruiz, wide receivers Malek Ford and Austin Lake, linebacker Collin Brueggeman, cornerback Jay Skogerboe, and kicker Carson Sauseda were named to the 2nd team. Ortman also made the 2nd team as a punter. 

Chris Guipi-Bopala, Brooks Jansen, Kaden Eng, and Joseph Tayler were named as Honorable Mentions.

Dickinson State (N.D.) landed six selections on First Team and collected five postseason awards

BISMARCK, N.D. – The 2024 North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) Football All-Conference teams were announced Monday by the conference office.  The All-Conference teams and postseason awards were voted by the league coaches.

Dickinson State (N.D.) captured their historic tenth consecutive conference team title with another undefeated record (8-0 record).  The Blue Hawks earned the NSAA’s automatic qualifier to the NAIA Football Championship Series (FCS).  DiSU opened with a 27-20 home victory versus Kansas Wesleyan in the opening round on Nov. 23 in Dickinson, N.D.

Dickinson State, No. 14 seed in the second round of the NAIA FCS playoffs, travels to No. 4 seed Montana Western on Saturday.
