Madison Central School Board members took action on a number of personnel items during their meeting on Monday.
The board approved an agreement with Dianna Tyler to provide curriculum and staff professional development services for the next school year. The agreement for Tyler is for 42 days at a rate of 17-thousand-400-dollars. Business Manager Mitchell Brooks said this is a two-point-one-percent increase over last year’s agreement.
Also on Monday, the board approved the resignations of Megan Schuh as a middle school teacher, and Shannon Gerry as a high school paraprofessional. Board members also approved the hiring of Kim Seitz and Laurie Macziewski as part-time Title One teachers at a rate of 20-thousand-580 dollars. In addition, the board approved a 20-cent an hour pay increase for paraprofessionals who complete PCM Training.
In other business on Monday, the Madison Central School Board approved an agreement with Madison Regional Health System to provide therapy and professional nursing services for the district. Brooks said that the rate for occupational and physical therapy services stayed the same as the year previous at just more than 78-dollars an hour. He said the rate for nursing services increased by three-percent from last year to close to 41-dollars an hour.
