Thomas Gamber

Thomas H. Gamber, 65, of Sioux Falls, SD passed away suddenly in Canistota, SD.  There will be a memorial gathering at the Monroe Community Center in Monroe, SD on Sunday, September 19 at 1 pm.

Thomas Gamber was born July 28, 1956 in Buffalo, NY to Jean (Bardo) and Willis A. Gamber Sr.  He joined the US Navy at the age of 17 and earned his GED while serving his country.  On May 26, 1990 he married Michelle Scheffel in San Diego, CA.  Thomas retired from the navy in 1995 after 22 years of service.  He then worked in the shipyard until 2008.

Thomas enjoyed fishing, camping, and hunting and his WORLD was the US Navy.

Thomas is survived by: his children, Emily Gamber and Ryan Gamber; his grandson, Michael Gamber; his siblings, Barbara (Gary) Mettler, Michele (Bill) Leiferman, Willis (Linda) Gamber, and Timothy (Sandy) Gamber; his brother-in-law, Marv Keimig and many nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Karen Gamber.
