Samantha M. (Howe) Martin

Samantha M. (Howe) Martin, 38, of Madison passed away unexpectedly on June 13, 2023.  Funeral services will begin at 11 am on Wednesday, June 21 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Madison.  Visitation will begin at 9:30 am.  Burial will take place at Salem Lutheran Cemetery, Center, SD at 1:30 pm.

Samantha Markie Howe was born January 27, 1985 in Sioux Falls, SD to Mark and Cheryl (Hoek) Howe.  She lived most of her life in the Winfred and Madison areas.  Samantha was a firm believer in God and had a strong faith.  She was baptized and confirmed at Salem Lutheran Church at Center (now known as Center Free Lutheran Church) and then recently rededicated her life at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  She loved spending time with her kids and especially enjoyed evenings with the missionaries from church doing bible readings with her family.

Samantha is survived by: her children, Emily “Alics” Richards, Savanah Howe, Myrtis Howe, Akira Kirscher and Chloe Martin; mother, Cheryl Howe (Keith Chesshir); siblings, Joshua (Patt) Howe, Ashley (Jeff) Hayden, Jackelyn (Robert) Howe and Maxiene (Seth) Tennis; grandmothers, Jeanette Hoek, Victoria Madison and Jean Howe; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her father, Mark Howe, sister, Danielle Howe and two grandpas, Gene Hoek and Alvin Howe.
