Sally Jane Westhoff, age 53, passed away on Friday, September 13th at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls. This beautiful woman was known for her giving nature; her gifts to those she loved – and to complete strangers – were constant and delivered with glee. One of Sally’s favorite things to do was to create jewelry for friends and family. Sally also loved animals dearly, several times adopting in strays to care for. Sally’s career was as diverse as her interests, working at managerial levels in multiple industries. Most recently, Sally’s work as a blackjack dealer aligned with her enjoyment of leisure gaming.

Sally was the second-youngest of five children and was preceded in death by her grandmother Carol Breneman, her father Loren Westhoff, and her mother Alberta Townsend. She is survived by four siblings [Lory Johansen (Larry) of Valley Springs, Rhonda Ramsdell (Steve) of Piedmont, Kerry Selland (Bill) of Salem, and Bill Westhoff of Salem], two sons [Joe Westhoff (Julie) of Tea and Fox Faraday of Tucson], two grandchildren [Noah and Reece Westhoff], and many nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Salem American Legion on Friday, September 20th.
